  • Fundraising Fortnight

    Published 12/07/25

We've had a couple of days to reflect… and wow, what a Fundraising Fortnight it was! 💜

🕯️ Basement Tour: Students explored years’ worth of hidden graffiti, artwork and artefacts. They discovered original features like the school's original washing facilities, heard spooky stories, and visited 'Gun Alley' - once used by young men training for the war. Practicing their aim with replica rifles, students reflected on the bravery and sacrifice of those former pupils. At the end, each student signed their name on a special board, becoming part of the school’s rich history.

🕰️ Clocktower Tour: After climbing right up into the rafters (not one for those afraid of heights!), our winners were treated to stunning views over Halifax, an insight into the clock's history and inner workings, and the chance to leave their mark among decades of signatures from staff and students of the past.

It was a truly unforgettable morning and the perfect way to round off an amazing two weeks of fundraising! Thank you so much again to everyone involved.

In the group stages we had wins against Hipperholme Grammar, Brooksbank, Calder, Rastrick and Brighouse A. We then faced NHGS in the semis. We scored 4.5 with the bat, but produced our best fielding display to limit them to 2.

We faced Rishworth in the final and scored 8.5. The fielding was slick again and they finished with 4. An outstanding team performance. Well done girls 👏👏👏
