    • Matilda Sponsorship

      Published 28/01/26

We wanted to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to former student Sam and his company 74 Solutions for so kindly sponsoring our upcoming production of Matilda 🎭

74 Solutions is a Leeds-based enterprise architecture and IT consultancy, supporting organisations with complex system design, integration and digital transformation. Sam and his team work closely with government and higher education clients, helping to build robust, scalable and well-integrated digital solutions.

Their support is helping us bring Matilda to life, and with rehearsals and preparations well underway, it’s already shaping up to be a truly amazing show. We can’t wait to see it all come together this July.

📸 Pictured here are some of our cast when they went to watch the stage show a little while ago to soak up all the inspiration.

Thank you again for supporting the arts at Crossley Heath School. We’re incredibly grateful. Support like this makes such a difference, and we’re always thankful for any further support towards our productions.

    • Fantastic Debut for Ruby at Winter Guard UK!

      Published 23/01/26

Huge congratulations to Ruby in 8A, who took part in her first Winter Guard UK competition on Sunday in Stoke and what a debut it was!

Ruby was part of a team of nine young performers aged between 10 and 13. This was their first time competing in the Junior League, having moved up a level due to one team member turning 13. That meant they were up against teams with performers aged 16 and 17, a tough challenge by any measure.

Despite this, the team performed brilliantly and finished in bronze position, far exceeding expectations and showing incredible confidence, teamwork and determination.

With competitions coming up in Liverpool, Leeds, and the World Finals in Worcester this April, this is an amazing start to their season.

Well done, Ruby! We’re so proud of you and wish you and your team the very best in the competitions ahead!

As part of our Prize Giving celebrations, we’re delighted to recognise Aqib, who received the Outstanding Contribution to House Activities Award.

Aqib was always hugely passionate about our house system and was a true team player, consistently encouraging others to get involved and step outside their comfort zones. He threw himself into every opportunity with enthusiasm, supporting those around him and contributing positively to house events across the school.

From singing a solo as Freddie Mercury during House Music, to fully committing (blue paint and all!) to his role as the Caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland, Aqib embraced each role with confidence - all while remaining a popular, well-liked and respectful presence around school.

This award celebrates Aqib’s energy, teamwork and willingness to give things a go. He's already greatly missed, and we’re excited to follow his achievements as he moves on to the next chapter.

      Congratulations, Aqib!
