    Trust Members

    Trust Members are responsible for ensuring the Objects of the Trust are promoted and no actions contravene these. The Objects being:  

    1. To advance for the public benefit education in the United Kingdom, in particular but without prejudice to the generally of the foregoing, by establishing, maintaining, carrying on, managing and developing a school offering a broad and balanced curriculum (‘the Academy’);and 

    1. To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Halifax and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation, education or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and the object of improving the condition of the life of the said inhabitants.  


    Trustees

    Trustees form the Governing Body who are Directors of the company constituted under the Articles of the Academy Trust. Our Trustees are volunteers who play an important part in setting the strategic direction of The Crossley Heath School, ensuring we continue to raise standards and strive for excellence in everything that we do. All Crossley Heath School Trustees are passionate about improving the lives of every single young person and they are fully committed to our aim of being “outstanding and beyond”. 

    The core strategic functions of the governing body are: 

    • Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction; 

    • Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its students, and the performance management of staff; 

    • Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
