THE CROSSLEY HEATH SCHOOL CELEBRATES STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENTS

Students, families and staff from The Crossley Heath School are celebrating today after achieving excellent GCSE grades.

Our Year 11 students demonstrated their aspiration for excellence and their courage to work extremely hard. Their efforts and the support of their families and our staff have led to wonderful achievements which launch them forward to their next successful steps into Sixth Form education.

To support our Year 11 students, staff at The Crossley Heath School have led additional academic support opportunities beyond high-quality daily lessons. We have run lunchtime and after-school revision sessions, small group tutoring in person and online, booster classes and even holiday school sessions to give every student the chance to achieve their very best.

All these efforts paid off, with students securing some brilliant results, including:

Lois and Noah achieving 10 qualifications at the highest Grade 9, plus A grades in Additional Maths. Noah also achieved a grade 9 in Further Maths.
Eira, Imogen and Nandini achieving 9 qualifications at the highest Grade 9.
Rana attaining Grades 8/9 (A* equivalence) in 11 different subjects.
Two thirds of all grades were at Grade 7 or above.
65 students achieved an Attainment 8 average of grade 8 or above to earn a Sixth Form scholarship.

We are so proud to celebrate the success of our Sixth Form students today, another year of increasing results and so many achieving outstanding grades which open doors to the successful destinations they have been aiming for.

We are celebrating both the academic excellence our students have achieved, as well as the wonderfully kind and courageous characters they have developed during their time with us.

We wish each and every one of our students the brightest of futures, confident that they will contribute positively to society in the years to come and that we will see them again as alumni who have graduated from our Crossley Heath School family.

Louis with grades A* A A – Studying Philosophy at the University of Cambridge
Emily with grades A* A A – Studying Psychology at the University of Lancaster
Umair with grades A A A – Studying Computer Science at the University of Leeds

As part of our commitment to social mobility, we are also proud to award The Crossley Brothers’ Scholarships of Excellence supporting students financially throughout their next three years at university, as well as developing their careers through annual residential leadership seminars, internships and mentoring. This years’ scholarships were achieved by Lakshya, Morgan, Neel, Sufyaan and Susan who will each benefit from £6,000 toward their studies
