On Wednesday 15th July, two special events will take place to celebrate the life and legacy of Martha Crossley – businesswoman, philanthropist and one of the most influential women in #Halifax's history.

From humble beginnings in domestic service at just 13 years old, Martha went on to help build the Crossley carpet manufacturing empire alongside her husband, John Crossley. Her commitment to generosity, opportunity and supporting others has left a lasting mark on our town.

We are particularly grateful to Martha at Crossley Heath. It was her values, passed on to her sons, that ultimately led to the founding of our school. More than a century later, those same values continue to shape and inspire our young people today.
