  • Fundraising Fortnight 2026

Fundraising Fortnight is one of the most important traditions in the Crossley Heath calendar.

Our school exists today because of the generosity of those who believed in creating opportunities for others. Every year, Fundraising Fortnight gives us the chance to continue that legacy while making a real difference to people in our local community and beyond.

From Monday 6th July until Friday 17th July, students will take part in a range of fundraising activities, including Non-Uniform Day, the Student Marketplace and the ever-popular Colour Run. Alongside these events, students are encouraged to get creative and organise their own fundraising initiatives.

This year, we are supporting three incredible local charities: Forget Me Not Children's Hospice, St Augustine's Centre and Overgate Hospice. A proportion of funds raised will also contribute towards the development of our new 2G pitch, helping to create opportunities for future generations of Crossley Heath students.

Whether a student raises £10, £100 or £1,000, every contribution makes a difference. Together, we have the opportunity to achieve something extraordinary.

Donations can be made via our Fundraising Fortnight JustGiving page.

We have also been overwhelmed by the generosity of local businesses who have stepped forward to sponsor Fundraising Fortnight 2026. Their support will help us make this year's event bigger and better than ever, and we'll be revealing more about our fantastic sponsors very soon.

    What's Happening?

Our packed programme of events includes:

    Monday 6th July: Non-Uniform Day

A colourful start to Fundraising Fortnight! Students are encouraged to wear their House colours and make a donation to kick off our fundraising efforts.

Wednesday 8th July: Top Secret Event

Something exciting is coming to the Main Hall at lunchtime. Students will be invited to make a small donation to watch the spectacle unfold... but for now, we're keeping the details a closely guarded secret. Watch this space!

Thursday 9th July & Friday 10th July: Student Marketplace

Students will become entrepreneurs for the day, running their own stalls featuring games, challenges, handmade products, sweet treats and much more.

Tuesday 14th July: The Colour Run

Our biggest fundraising event returns! Walk, run, dance or skip your way around the course while getting covered in colour.

    Independent Fundraising

Students are encouraged to raise money in creative ways outside of school. Whether it's hosting a bake sale, completing a sponsored challenge, washing cars, walking dogs or launching their own business idea, every effort helps us get closer to our fundraising goal.

    What's In It For Students?

Fundraising Fortnight is about making a difference, but there are plenty of rewards along the way.

Students who go above and beyond will have the opportunity to earn exclusive experiences and recognition, including:

    • A visit to the Clock Tower to sign their name in Crossley Heath history

    • A guided tour of the school's famous basement

    • VIP experiences and celebration events

    • The prestigious Crossley Heath Philanthropy Award, an excellent addition to CVs, apprenticeship applications and university personal statements

    • Additional prizes and recognition throughout the fortnight

The overall top fundraiser will also win a special prize and have the opportunity to nominate an additional charity to receive a donation from the Fundraising Fortnight total. They will be invited to present a cheque on behalf of the school and see first-hand the impact of their fundraising efforts.

    How Can Parents Help?

Your support plays a huge role in the success of Fundraising Fortnight and is greatly appreciated. You can help by:

    • Supporting your child in planning and running their Student Marketplace stall

    • Booking their place on the Colour Run (available to book on Parent Pay now)

    • Encouraging them to take part in additional fundraising activities

    • Making a contribution towards Non-Uniform Day (Either cash on the day or via Parent Pay now)

    • Sharing their fundraising efforts with family and friends

    JustGiving

We have a dedicated JustGiving campaign page where donations can be made quickly and securely.

Students are also encouraged to create their own individual fundraising pages linked to the main campaign. This allows them to track their personal fundraising total while automatically contributing to the school's overall Fundraising Fortnight total.

We have already seen some fantastic fundraising pages and creative ideas from students, with some already raising incredible amounts. We can't wait to see what else can be achieved over the coming weeks.

If making a donation, please remember to tick Gift Aid where applicable, as this increases the value of your contribution by 25% at no extra cost to you.

Thank you so very much for helping our students make a difference to the charities and causes we are supporting this year.
