Former Head Boy Offers Consultancy Opportunities for Crossley Heath Students

We were delighted to see Crossley Heath alumnus and former Head Boy Fabrizio recently supporting our students through a fantastic partnership with OC&C Strategy Consultants in London.

OC&C is a leading international strategy consultancy that helps major organisations make important decisions about how to grow, compete and succeed. Working with company leaders, investors and governments, the firm specialises in analysing complex business challenges and developing clear strategies that businesses can use to improve their performance, particularly across sectors such as retail, consumer goods, technology and finance.

Thanks to Fabrizio’s support, 19 Year 12 students recently took part in a four-week business consultancy programme delivered by the OC&C team. Working in small groups, students developed key skills in creative thinking, commercial awareness, critical analysis and presenting, as they explored how consultants approach real-world business problems.

Students worked collaboratively to develop bespoke business proposals, undertaking activities such as brainstorming ideas, financial planning, competitor benchmarking and creating professional slide decks. The programme culminated in students pitching their ideas to a panel of OC&C consultants – including Fabrizio himself.

The programme proved to be an incredibly valuable experience for the students involved. As a direct result, four students secured work experience placements with OC&C in London, giving them the opportunity to gain further insight into the world of strategy consulting.

Following the success of the first programme, OC&C have also offered virtual work experience opportunities for students interested in business, economics and consultancy. During this experience, students will work on a consultancy-style project with the support of an OC&C “project buddy”, take part in daily online meetings, and present their findings to consultants at the end of the week. Students will also have the opportunity to observe team meetings to gain a deeper understanding of what it is like to work in the industry.

The firm has also expressed interest in running a second cohort of the consultancy programme for future students.

We are incredibly grateful to Fabrizio for helping to create such meaningful opportunities for our students. It is wonderful to see our alumni continuing to support the Crossley Heath community and inspire the next generation.
