Our Year 9 MEP students have had a fantastic start to their 12-day adventure in China! After a long flight, they touched down in Shanghai and hit the ground running. They've already begun their Mandarin lessons with their Chinese teachers, showing great enthusiasm as they put their language skills into practice.
One of the highlights so far has been meeting their Chinese peers for the first time. The students took part in some fun and creative ice-breaking activities to get to know each other, and it’s been brilliant to see friendships starting to form.
They have had the chance to explore an important part of Chinese culture, fan making! The students really enjoyed designing and creating their own traditional Chinese fans, each one unique and beautifully decorated.
We’re so proud of how well they’re representing the school and embracing every opportunity – we can’t wait to see what the rest of the trip brings! Keep an eye out for more updates soon.
