Thanks to the wonderful support of our Alumni David and James, with the sponsorship of local business the Big 6 and support of the Crossley & Porter Foundation, our students will soon be hitting big sixes as our cricket nets return to the lower Arena.

The aerial view of the Arena still shows the outline where the nets once stood after students themselves installed them in 1910 and where they stood for decades. The best of Crossley Heath heritage is coming back with an October installation date.

Thank you to our ex-students who are still championing the school they love and demonstrating our value of kindness.

A huge congratulations to Sebby and Matty, who were selected to represent the Huddersfield Taverners U15s in the prestigious Yorkshire Junior Cricket Festival.

With 16 leagues from across the county taking part, Huddersfield had to overcome some of the strongest teams in the region, including Upper Airedale, Aire Wharfe, Heavy Woollen, and York, to reach the final.

They didn’t just make it… they made history, remaining unbeaten throughout and winning the final in style with a comprehensive 200-run victory over Barnsley to lift the U15s Lord’s Taverners Trophy!

We’re incredibly proud of Sebby and Matty for their outstanding achievement and for representing the school and their league with such talent and determination. Well done, lads!

Your hard work, resilience, and determination over the past months have been truly inspiring. We’re incredibly proud of each and every one of you and the way you’ve carried yourselves throughout this busy and challenging time.

A huge congratulations to all our brilliant students who achieved Gold Certificates in the UK Maths Challenge this year – a fantastic recognition of their problem-solving skills and mathematical thinking!

We are especially proud to celebrate Nikesh who made Crossley Heath history by scoring a perfect 100% in the first round – a truly exceptional achievement and a first for our school!

Well done to all who took part, your hard work, determination and love of Maths continue to inspire us all.

We’re incredibly proud of our students who took part in the Calderdale Athletics Competition this week!

Across all three year groups, our talented athletes brought home an impressive 14 medals, a true testament to their hard work, determination and team spirit.

A special shoutout to our Year 7 team, who came first overall and proudly brought home the trophy!

We’re incredibly proud to congratulate Mr Baker from our PE department, who will be representing the U20 Lancashire team in the RFU County Championship Finals this Saturday at Twickenham Stadium! 

The finals will be held just before the England XV vs France XV fixture in front of up to 82,000 people, this is a huge achievement and an amazing opportunity to play at the home of English rugby.

Mr Baker’s dedication and passion for the sport inspire our students every day, now it's his turn to take to the big stage!

We’ll all be cheering you on from school. Best of luck, Mr Baker!
