World Book Day brought fantastic energy across the school as students arrived dressed as characters from their favourite books. At Crossley Heath, reading and literacy are at the heart of learning, helping students build knowledge, imagination and confidence across every subject. It was wonderful to see so many students celebrating the stories and characters that inspire them.

First Place: The Mad Hatter and Lord of the Rings

Second Place: The Midnight Gang and King Harold

Third Place: Macbeth’s Witches and Alice in Wonderland

A huge well done to our winners and to everyone who took part. Seeing our students celebrate reading in such a creative way is a brilliant reminder of how important books are in shaping curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love of learning.
