Crossley Heath Sports Coaches

Do you love seeing children learn to excel at sport?

Do you want to work with some of the most well-behaved, dedicated and motivated sporting students in our region?

Do you want to be a proud part of a school with sporting tradition dating back to 1600?

Could you coach the next Crossley Heath sporting superstar, following on from current 800 metre Olympian Max Burgin, two-time Olympian European Judo Champion Sophie Cox, Kiteboarder Connor Bainbridge, England rugby legend Brian Moore and the World’s first Black International footballer Andrew Watson?

We are seeking sports coaches to help develop the talent of our students in a range of sports including: Basketball / Cricket / Football / Rugby / any other sport welcome.

Our coaches are to be role models of the values of our school:

  • Kindness – Volunteering time to training sessions and fixtures.
  • Courage – Having the confidence to work with groups of students
  • Excellence – Drawing on their own experience of excellence in the sport they coach.

The commitment we are looking for, is the delivery of a sport training session at either lunchtime (12.10 - 1.10pm) or after school (3.15 - 4.15pm) for the season.

All our Sports Coaches will benefit from:

  • Full DBS checks and safeguarding training.
  • Full provision of Crossley Heath Sports Gear and any equipment needed.
  • The opportunity to develop partnerships between our school and any local sports club you are
  • affiliated with, so our students have sports development pathways within and beyond school.
  • Full coverage of any transport expenses.
  • Support for minibus driving qualifications.
