Maintenance Technician – Part Time – 17.5 hours per week
Scale 3, £10,282 (actual) term time only + 5 days

Crossley Heath is a Grade II listed building which is an iconic landmark in Calderdale. We have a vacancy for a Maintenance Technician to work as part of our maintenance team, to be responsible for maintenance duties as directed by the Site Manager. Previous relevant experience in a similar role or possession of a trade would be desirable. We are looking for a person who will work well as part of a small, very effective team which is fully committed to the upkeep and maintenance of our beautiful building.  The role requires the successful applicant to be a designated key holder to ensure the school is secured at the end of the day. The hours are Monday to Friday 3.30 pm to 7pm.

Development and Fundraising Manager – Full time
Salary: P04, Pt 30 (£39,513 actual)
To start as soon as possible
Temporary 1 year contract in the first instance

As part of the school’s long term development strategy, we would like to appoint an exceptionally motivated and talented person who is passionate about building fruitful, reciprocal relationships with our stakeholders, potential sponsors/donors and our alumni, establishing positive connections with the latter to support current students.

We are seeking a special person who has exceptional relationship building skills, is client focused and confident to work with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally.

You will have the capability to work strategically, to secure income from various sources, particularly by generating our alumni network and from successful grant applications in the first instance.

You will be, or will have the wherewithal to become, a confident, engaging and enthusiastic fundraiser, motivated by seeing the impact of what philanthropy can achieve for this school.

You are likely to have a background in philanthropic fundraising, development or marketing but we also welcome applications from outstanding people with transferable skills, expertise and attributes.

Afternoon Cleaner
Scale 1b, Pt £9,590 pa (Actual) 15 hrs, all year
To start as soon as possible

We wish to appoint a part time afternoon cleaner, 15 hours per week, full year. The hours of work are 2.45 pm to 5.45 pm, Monday to Friday.

Duties will include general cleaning of classrooms, communal areas and toilet facilities, some light manual handling will be required as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.  Applicants should be enthusiastic, reliable and enjoy being part of a team.

Supply Teachers

We are always looking to recruit flexible secondary supply teachers for general and subject specialist cover to provisionally teach on a day to day and short term basis. Whether you are a ECT / NQT or an experienced teacher looking for supply teaching work, short or possible long term contracts, please get in touch.
