Peripatetic Music Teacher – String Specialist
From September 2018
This is a temporary contract for 12 months in the first instance.
We wish to recruit a string specialist peripatetic teacher to teach students of ages 11-18 and all abilities from beginner to grade 8. We are looking for a violin specialist, although ability to also offer cello and viola would be an advantage. Hours are based upon the number of enrolled students and would be about an hour and a half of work a week (including running our lunchtime string group) in the first instance. In recent years we have had more pupils than at present and there is capacity to grow this area further. Lessons at the school are delivered over 36 weeks per year and are remunerated at a rate of £25 per hour. This post will be temporary for a year in the first instance although we are hopeful that it will become permanent thereafter, subject to satisfactory performance and continued student numbers.
Closing Date: Friday 31 August 2018
Interview Date: Friday 7 September 2018
All completed applications should be returned to Helen Richards, HR/Administration Assistant (email@example.com), by 12 noon on the closing date specified above. Further details are on our school website. Application packs are available from the school office.
We are committed to safeguarding children in all aspects of recruitment and selection.
